I'm just wondering why "our side" always has to set the example for democratic leadership, civility, adherence to the

RULE OF LAW FCS, while the other side can do everything up to and including to a coup and coalesce behind a convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, Putin-loving, Kim Jong loving, Victor Orban loving, Xi loving and gaslighting "the enemy within" (that would be us.)
We have to decide if we are going to actively resist, knowing the Orange One would LOVE to impose martial law, the Insurrection Act, and whatever else for the sole sake of bloodshed, punishment and to be like his DFF's. "Why can't we just shoot them?"

Seems pretty sensible? And the irony that the party professing the “rule of law” in decades past, would be totally silent or in direct opposition to such a ruling at this pivotal point in our history. What do other countries do differently?

I know many have long held that MSM is corrupt and minimally, malleable. I am concurring at this point. I think the owners just want ratings which equals dollars at the expense of honest reporting. CBS President admitted such in 2017 or so.
But here's the thing. The CO Supreme Court ruled "him" ineligible to be on the ballot for his role in 1/6 effort to subvert the electoral process in what should be termed a coup attempt based on the language of the Constitution. SCOTUS overruled the decision, which I didn't think could happen (States Rights and all), but a clear violation of the 14th Amendment of the Constitution.
That was the first tell that has now become an apparent protection racket for the criminal mob boss by way of the immunity decision. Citizens United, Dobbs and Roe were other "decisions" that were years in the making that have had a huge impact on our society.
I just never thought it could be corrupted this easily, and am damn angry about it.

Mom and I are a bit distraught 😩. Not to be dramatic, but feels like losing someone that “passed on.”
She is really smart and I know she’s going to be great, at least we all think so. Life can throw you 100 mile an hour fastballs.
Will miss everything about her. A joy every step of the way.
Hopefully we’ve done the best for her. She has it so much more together than we ever did. I gave her a copy of “Rules for Dating My Daughter” to put the fear of something into prospective suitors. She got a chuckle out of it. I gave her 500 copies to distribute among the university community
People will say it’s time for them to fly and I get that, but also remember all the crap and angst I went through to get a degree, but I never let her know how hard it was doing it myself mostly.
Guess I should chill and be content that her experience was waaaay better than mine in the 70’s. Dang I am old!
